Who is Irma

Welcome.
My name is Irma Schadewijk-Verhoef. I am of Dutch origin and am living in France.
Firstly I would like to tell you a bit about myself and what I hope to achieve through this website.  I will start with my childhood.

As a baby and young child I lived simultaneously in the physical and spiritual worlds. For me there was no difference between my earthly brothers and sisters and my many spiritual friends. My way of communicating was telepathic, and I saw the auras and energy fields of others. At the age of two, I was a spontaneous healer. If I saw faded colours or dark energy around any of my immediate family I was able to brighten it by focusing on it.

As I grew older I was shocked to discover that I perceived more than my family or friends. What was 'normal' to me at first, the spiritual and physical as one, I was now made to believe were two separate things, all attention being given to the physical as if the spiritual did not exist.
To be 'normal' and to comply with this generally accepted view, I tried to suppress my essence. I created a belief system that the spiritual world was not real. I felt I wasn’t good enough to be accepted, or to be loved, or even not good enough to live. I created a distorted reality. I built my life and development around this belief system of not being good enough and of feeling guilty. This in turn took away my power and drained all the energy and what little joy I had in my life.

In my twenties I started reading spiritual books and going to lectures and workshops. My desire for inner growth and my strong desire to be a healer finally resurfaced.
I had several years of training at The Helios Centre in Heerde, The Netherlands. I did guide work with Bryon Katie’s Choice for Freedom, Reiki l and Reiki ll. I achieved practitioner status in Reiki. With caution I started practicing and by word of mouth I quickly became a success.

In my 40's I completed a 4-year training course at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami.
In addition to my studies explained above, I have also had training in life coaching and worked for two years as a Medical Intuitive at a health centre.
Furthermore I finished a 5-year training course Integrated Kabbalistic, given by Jason Shulman, founder of A Society of Souls in New Jersey, U.S.A.

During my years of training I have undergone deep transformational work within myself. My fears, grief, anger and anxieties all came to the surface. Putting my childhood experiences in the spotlight resulted in deeper self knowledge. My fear and pain could now be transformed into compassion and love.

My journey of healing has deepened my relationship with my self and with the people around me and continues until this day. It is a journey that has given me many insights and knowledge about life, gratitude and pleasure. All life lessons and gifts from the Universe resonate and are present in every cell of my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body. After having done this personal work, I now feel that in my daily life l am a part of the Great Whole; this makes me curious about what else will be revealed.

My goal and desire is to help alleviate human suffering and generate more self-love and love for others. Suffering and happiness exist simultaneously.
