Coming home to yourself

In the workshop 'Coming Home to yourself' we are going to connect ourselves with who we really are. Short readings followed by guided meditations and practices will support you to get closer to your essence. This will give you peace and balance in your body and mind as well as in your daily life and work.

This workshop will start the process of feeling your mind, body and heart and of discovering where and why they might be blocked. Through acceptance and being more aware of your inner workings you will learn to let go. Letting go of pain, anger, fear, and grief will allow your ever-present shining light and wisdom to flow again. This process of letting go and connecting yourself again with who you really are, will allow you to come home to yourself. The workshop provides the opportunity to deepen your awareness and to integrate and transform new discoveries.

Coming home to yourself will allow you live in the present moment and to connect to everything in your life with fuller understanding and acceptance of your real self, which in turn will allow you to grow and to appreciate more deeply the world in which you live. When you accept and embrace all situations and emotions, you will be more aware of your true being in your whole body; you will connect with your heart, your essence. This is simple and yet there are so few of us who live in this way. We are afraid to be alone. In our lives we are always chasing something. Too often we are searching for happiness, love, wealth, and success from outside ourselves. This causes a lot of stress and turmoil in our mind and body. We are always striving for something. We feel we have to survive instead of living life in the moment.

If we are constantly searching for fulfillment of our longings, we will always be disappointed. Without pursuit of happiness, there is no suffering or disappointment and, therefore, no waste of energy. We are always looking for answers, but it is more important to ask the right questions. Good questions without judgment and even sometimes without an answer are challenging on a deeper level. If we can let other people and situations 'be' without needing to solve their emotional and physical issues, and if we can be present with our issues without trying to change anything, then being in a relationship with ourselves and others will make us feel whole and give us faith in them and in ourselves.

Talk does not necessarily require a response. Question your heart in silence, and all the good questions and answers will come to you. Everything is already present within us. All that you desire, the real happiness, relationships with your self and with others will be revealed from your essence. We don’t have to pursue or suppress anything to fulfill our desires. Recognition and acceptance bring happiness.

We do not need anything to experience inner happiness. It is without conditions and without reason. Through thought it is difficult to connect with our already present bliss. We want to feel good but we take our negative thoughts much more seriously than our positive thoughts. We opt for security and we are attached to our belief system: "There’s no point. I won’t succeed."; "I’m not good enough."; "Everyone is against me"; etc.
Meditation can help break these patterns and help your physical body to experience inner happiness.  It brings you into contact with your inner essence.
